In 1967, he begins to play pop, rock music with groups based in Madrid (CONDES, GRIM, CANARIOS, etc.), and in 1973 he is called to play in night clubs in Africa and in the Middle East(where he begins his studies on a strictly self-taught basis), then returns to Spain in 1975. |

In 1976 he is called to work in "TAMBANOVA JAZZ", a club sited in Las Palmas,Canary Islands, and here is where he truely discovers jazz, working with artists such as LAURIE SIMPSON, LUIS VECCHIO, DON JETTER, ERO KOIVESTONE, etc. In 1981, he attends a seminar in the Taller de Musicos in BAŅOLAS (MUSIC WORKSHOP), where he plays and studies with CLAUDIO RODITTI, CHUCK ISRAEL, BEN RILEY, etc. |

He has participated in recordings with: SALVADOR, PEDRO RUY-BLAS, TOMAS VEGA, BANZAI, GUADALQUIVIR, KITFLUS, METROPOLI, JAVIER MORA, JORGE PARDO, etc., and has also played with: JUAN CARLOS CALDERON, PABLO ABRAIRA, JAVIER ALVAREZ, GERMAN COPPINI, TONKY BLUES BAND, etc. He was a founding member of GUADALQUIVIR (1978-1984) group he recorded three LP's with, and with whom he worked until 1984, year in which they were invited to tour throughout Poland, finishing that tour in the JAZZ JAMBOREE FESTIVAL-84 (Varsovia).. |

At the end of 1984, he works in the Opera-Rock theatre play "JESUCRISTO SUPERSTAR", along with PABLO ABAIRA, PEDRO RUY BLAS, SERGIO Y ESTIBALIZ, and from that date on, alternates studio work with live performances, and begins then to elaborate the LARRY MARTIN BAND project, which begins to take form in October 1986. In 1989, he attends a seminar in Madrid of the BERKLEY COLLEGE OF MUSIC(Boston), where he studies with GARY BURTON and ED URIBE,concluding the academic term successfully, and afterwards being chosen to play with the BIG BAND in the concert that closes the seminar |
In 1995 he takes on a summer tour with JAVIER ALVAREZ, in 1996 he tours with GERMAN COPPINI, and from then on, he alternates live performances with didactic jazz concerts in schools, but above all, he centers his attention on the LARRY MARTIN BAND. |
