Domingo J. Sánchez - piano - Cartagena (Murcia)

2Pianist, composer, producer and arranger, began playing the piano at age 3, making his first compositions (Sonata No. 1, preludes, and studies for piano) at 8 and 9 years old. Degree in Piano, Composition, and Language Musical, currently teaches at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid as Professor of Analysis, Harmony and Composition.

 

Classically trained, he began to enter the world of contemporary experimental music at the hands of Don Manuel Seco de Arpe, Professor of Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, and obtained Honours Thesis Prize in Intermediate and Advanced. At age 22 he joined the National Library of Young Composers of the Fundación Juan March. His works ("Textures", "Meditations", ...) were broadcast on National Radio classic, and released in various auditoriums and theaters of the Spanish geography.

 

However, since age 15, had led a parallel track playing in rock bands, pop, soul, funk, blues, and jazz. At age 18 he had played in various jazz and blues festivals, beginning to show interest in this language, while his artistic work alternated with teaching, Professor of Piano and Harmony.

 

In 2000 came to Madrid where he spent 6 years writing songs for pop artists, collaborating with music producer Carlos Quintero, were more than 200 songs, including musical compositions and arrangements for Sony, Universal, etc..


In 2003 he went to Bratislava to oversee the recording of multiple orchestrations performed by him on different disks performed by the prestigious Symphony Orchestra of that city. At the same time got into the audiovisual composing music for plays such as "Amrita", "Dolly" (Eduardo Aldán production, etc.). He also composed music for TV advertising and the soundtrack of the movie "Intense Red," directed by Javier Elorrieta, in 2007, recorded with the Symphony Orchestra of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he worked for 5 years as Professor of Analysis music of the XX and XXI centuries.p 0006

 

Meanwhile, it left the jazz and in 2006 became the pianist holds National Jazz Orchestra of Spain, performing and recording with musicians the likes of Randy Brecker, Paquito D'Rivera, JERRY GONZALEZ, ALAIN PEREZ, JORGE PARDO, RENE TOLEDO, etc.

 

In 2009 he released his facet as a producer with an album of classic jazz French versions (where he also plays the piano), of great artists like Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becaud, etc..

 

In late 2009 he joined Larry Martin Band.
